According to Iran's Tasnim News Agency, negotiations between Houthi frontline commanders and local tribal leaders in Taiz regarding the liberation of this strategic city are progressing smoothly, proceeding concurrently with the withdrawal of Saudi-backed militants and other foreign forces. An unnamed source told Tasnim that given the positive progress in negotiations between frontline commanders and Taiz tribal leaders, Taiz is expected to soon be brought under Houthi control as the militants withdraw completely. The source also stated that the positive progress is causing concern in the capitals of some Arab countries, such as Doha, who are attempting to interfere with or obstruct the current negotiation process in Taiz through so-called diplomatic initiatives. Tasnim News Agency reporters, based on on-site observations, reported that with progress on agreements regarding the withdrawal of Saudi-backed militants from Taiz, the countdown to the Houthi takeover of the city has begun.
