On Sunday, Saudi and Egyptian equity markets fell after the Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted multiple drones and missiles over Riyadh and southern Saudi Arabia amid escalating clashes with Houthi militants. The Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) dropped 2.6%, its worst intraday performance since April 2025, with heavyweight ARAMCO down 1.1% amid a broad sell-off. Egypt's EGX30 slid 2.5% to near a seven-month low, with all constituents lower. Egypt's parliament is scheduled to vote on Oct. 26 on whether to authorize the armed forces to support Saudi Arabia if Riyadh requests assistance against the Houthis.
