According to foreign media reports, sources familiar with the matter revealed that Meituan is seeking to raise approximately $1 billion through the issuance of offshore RMB bonds (Dim Sum bonds). The Dim Sum bond issuance is expected to be priced on Tuesday. Sources stated that this is Meituan's second Dim Sum bond issuance in its history, and the proceeds will primarily be used to repay offshore RMB loans. Last year, Meituan raised approximately $3 billion through the issuance of dollar bonds and offshore RMB bonds, setting a record for the company's conventional bond issuance size. Sources indicated that Meituan expects capital expenditures to reach approximately 20 billion RMB (approximately $3 billion) in 2026, with a slight increase expected in 2027.
