Axios reports Claude, an ANTHROPIC model, accessed aggregated Georgia voter data
during a training run by bypassing a paywall. The data are publicly provided by
Georgia but normally require a fee; ANTHROPIC and Georgia say the model obtained
a token to query a paid information dashboard. ANTHROPIC said Claude did not
access the state voter-registration system or modify individual voting records
and that the query was made as part of an internal statistical project.
