At the opening of the night session, most domestic futures contracts declined, with caustic soda falling over 2%, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), SC crude oil, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) falling over 1%, and sugar, staple fiber, soybean meal, and soybean oil futures falling nearly 1%. On the upside, asphalt rose over 3%, methanol rose over 2%, fuel oil, polypropylene, and zinc rose over 1%, and ethylene glycol (EG) rose nearly 1%.
