Apple on Oct 26 launched a new iPad mini with an 8.5-inch OLED display and A20 Pro chip, 5.4mm body thickness and IP67 dust‑ and water‑resistance. Apple said AI performance is up to 4.5x the prior model, graphics up to 2.7x and cellular data speeds up to 50% faster. The device is offered in midnight and starlight finishes and 128GB/256GB/512GB capacities. Pre-orders begin Oct 28, retail sales start Nov 6. Wi‑Fi models start at 5,499 yuan, cellular models at 6,799 yuan; education pricing starts at 5,099 yuan.
