Lebanese security sources familiar with Hezbollah activities revealed that, following a funding injection from Iran, Hezbollah has spent three months preparing for a possible resumption of hostilities with Israel. They have used the lull in fighting since June to rearm, focusing on procuring explosives and manufacturing drones capable of reaching Israeli positions. The group has received tens of millions of dollars from Iran to bolster its military capabilities. This does not include approximately $200 million provided by Tehran. Reuters reported earlier this month that this funding was intended to assist displaced families in its Shiite heartland. Sources said the group has been rebuilding its command and control structures that were dismantled in key battles.
