As of the 23:00 market close, most domestic futures contracts declined, with caustic soda falling over 4%, palm oil down nearly 3%, soybean oil down over 2%, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC), cotton, coking coal, sugar, and styrene (EB) down nearly 2%. On the upside, asphalt rose over 3%, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) rose over 2%, and methanol, propylene, and polypropylene rose over 1%, with polypropylene averaging nearly 1% higher for the month.
