On World Day for Disarmament and Development, Iranian political and military expert Majid Rajabi stated that simply relying on disarmament and weakening military capabilities cannot achieve lasting security or economic development.
Rajabi pointed out that the experiences of countries such as Japan, Germany, Ukraine, and Libya demonstrate that national security, economic development, and military strength are not mutually exclusive. On the contrary, countries need to establish a balance between economic, military, and diplomatic strength to maintain their independence and stability. He emphasized that lasting security stems from a combination of factors, including military strength, economic resilience, pragmatic diplomacy, accurate assessment of threats, and decisive decision-making. The absence of any one of these factors not only fails to ensure national security but may also jeopardize economic development and political independence.
