Modular data center provider ECOBLOX has partnered with Croatian electric vehicle technology company Rimac
Technology to develop a high-density modular data center. This collaboration combines Rimac's UNI battery modules, battery management system, and power electronics technology with ECOBLOX's data center architecture, power supply, precision cooling, and system integration capabilities to provide power and backup power support for AI computing clusters. The battery management system will connect real-time operational data to ECOBLOX's data center infrastructure management platform for centralized monitoring, alerting, and analysis. The two companies plan to install the first demonstration system at Rimac's campus in Croatia in November 2026. This solution aims to improve the power resilience of high-density AI computing and shorten infrastructure deployment cycles, but the companies have not yet disclosed specific metrics such as system capacity, cost, and backup power duration.
