According to the Iranian Labor News Agency (ILNA), Iranian Economy and Finance Minister Madanizadeh publicly apologized at a plenary session of parliament for the difficulties caused to the people by inflation and rising prices. Madanizadeh emphasized that the pressure that inflation and rising prices have placed on the lives of retirees, workers, public officials, and other citizens is evident. He stated, "I apologize to the respected Iranian people for all the difficulties, problems, inflation, and rising prices that the Iranian economy is enduring, and the various difficult situations that have resulted."
