At the close of the morning session, most domestic futures contracts declined, with container shipping to Europe falling nearly 5%. Styrene (EB), palm oil, and benzene fell over 3%, while caustic soda, low-sulfur fuel oil (LU), paraxylene, and soybean oil fell over 2%. On the upside, lithium carbonate rose over 3%, asphalt and live hogs rose over 2%, polysilicon rose nearly 2%, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and Shanghai lead rose over 1%, and polypropylene and soda ash rose nearly 1%.
