Voting began Tuesday in Israel's national election, with the prospect of a war
with Iran a central voter issue. Defense Minister KATZ said voters face a choice
between an offensive, proactive route aimed at decisive victory and a return to
deterrence and restraint. He said Israel has struck Iran twice, removed an
existential-level threat, expanded security buffers in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza,
and is strengthening and consolidating defenses along the eastern border and in
the Jordan Valley. KATZ urged voters to back this line so Netanyahu can
'complete the mission' against Iran.
