Israeli police announced on October 27 that they had arrested three suspects in the Negev region on suspicion of election bribery, allegedly distributing cash to voters in exchange for their support of the Ra'am Arab Union List party in the 26th parliamentary elections. During a search of the suspects' residences, police seized envelopes containing tens of thousands of shekels in cash, notes, and other related evidence. The three suspects, from Shegovshalom and Ararat in the Negev region, were subsequently transferred to the Southern Fraud Investigation Department for questioning. Police stated that they expected to apply to the court that day for an extension of the suspects' detention period, and the investigation is ongoing.
