The Kremlin said on Oct. 27 that President Putin met Iranian President
Pezeshkian in Moscow during the Gas Exporting Countries Forum summit. They
discussed the Middle East and said they hope the situation moves in a positive
direction. Putin noted Russia-Iran trade rose 10.4% in the first eight months of
the year and that construction of the Bushehr nuclear power plant continues.
This was their third meeting this year.
