Oct 28 — At a routine press briefing, the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office
responded to remarks by Taiwan’s Mainland Affairs Council chair that the
mainland would strengthen a pre-unification governance strategy, including
shaping domestic administrative and judicial jurisdiction. Spokesperson Chen
Binhua reiterated the one-China principle, saying Taiwan is an inalienable part
of China and that reunification is inevitable and unstoppable.
