At the close of the morning session, most domestic futures contracts rose, with ethylene glycol (EG) up over 3%, synthetic rubber up nearly 3%, and alumina, apples, coking coal, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and red dates up over 2%, while platinum rose over 1%. On the downside, lithium carbonate fell over 3%, container shipping to Europe fell over 2%, caustic soda fell nearly 2%, fiberboard fell over 1%, and benzene fell nearly 1%.
