IAEA Director Rafael Grossi said the agency has found no signs since June 2025 that Iran attempted to repair or rebuild nuclear facilities damaged in attacks in June 2025 and 2026. Because Iran continues to restrict inspector access to most sites, the IAEA cannot verify the status of nuclear material — including 440 kg of up to 60% enriched uranium that was previously declared — or confirm whether any undeclared transfers have occurred. Grossi said the assessment is consistent with earlier US intelligence testimony that enrichment capacity was severely damaged in the June 2025 strikes, a finding that undercuts the Trump administration’s stated necessity for strikes in late February 2026.
