Gongbei Customs says total trade between the bridge's Zhuhai road port and APEC economies has reached 1.093 tln yuan since opening. In the first three quarters of this year, trading with APEC economies was 226.33 bln yuan, up 52.8% YoY and accounting for 73.4% of the port's total trade in the period. Monthly average trade with APEC economies rose from 2.52 bln yuan in the port's first year to 24.42 bln yuan this year, an increase of more than eightfold, underlining APEC demand's growing contribution to the port's trade growth.
