Oct 27 — China's Commerce Minister Wang Wentao met European Parliament
International Trade Committee chair Lange to discuss China‑EU economic and trade
ties. Wang said China is not the root cause of EU problems and urged reciprocal
steps by the EU. He called for expanded two‑way investment, increased imports
from the EU, and deeper cooperation in emerging sectors under WTO rules and
mutual benefit to rebalance and advance bilateral trade. MOFCOM said it will
strengthen communication with the EP trade committee to promote stable, healthy
development of China‑EU economic and trade relations.
