Hours before Ukrainian President Zelenskiy’s visit to The Hague, the Dutch
government announced €1.2bn (~$1.3bn) in non-military aid to Ukraine over the
next three years to support reconstruction. The package includes €380m next year
and roughly €410m each in 2028 and 2029. Part of the funding will seed a special
fund to support Dutch firms investing in reconstruction; the rest is earmarked
for emergency repairs to energy infrastructure and for supplying machinery to
Ukraine’s industrial sector.
