Fed Governor Cook joined Governor Harker in dissenting from the Fed's decision
to keep the federal funds target range unchanged; both said they preferred a 25
bps increase. It is Cook's first dissent since joining the Board. The vote comes
as the White House is probing Cook's personal mortgage history, the latest step
in President Trump's long-running effort to push him out of the Fed.
