Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh said the Fed will adjust FOMC meeting
arrangements starting next autumn while keeping eight meetings a year. In 2027
the Fed will still hold eight meetings, but one will be a non‑voting session
dedicated to policy strategy rather than a vote on the policy rate. In 2028 two
of the eight meetings will be strategy sessions without policy‑rate votes; those
sessions will not be formal policy decision meetings.
