WILLIAMS (Sep 29) said there is no need to rush and the Fed can wait for more data, but if the economy tracks his projections a further rate increase before year-end could be appropriate. BARR (Sep 29) said growth is solid, the labor market remains resilient and inflation is still too high, supporting further action to bring inflation down. Jefferson (Oct 1) said activity and employment are broadly healthy and inflation remains above target, stressing policy should be based on a comprehensive assessment of data, outlook and risks rather than any single indicator. LOGAN (Oct 1) said policy may ultimately require another 50bps of cumulative tightening but gave no timing. KASHKARI (Oct 1) said he expects possibly one more hike this year; further moves next year will depend on inflation and economic resilience. WALLER (Oct 8) said inflation remains too high and that tariffs, energy prices and demand pressures keep risks elevated; he supported the September hike and said the decision reflected months of evidence rather than a single month’s data. KEVIN WARSH (Oct 16) declined to pre-announce or pre-judge whether he will support an October hike or other moves at the remaining meetings this year.
