Jaejune Kim, Executive Vice President of Memory Business at Samsung Electronics Solutions (DS) division, stated in a conference call following the company's release of its third-quarter financial results on the 29th, "Next year's HBM supply is completely sold out, and pricing negotiations have been completed at our target price." He added, "Customers are still continuously making additional purchase requests." Citrini Semiconductor Research analysts noted that previous reports in South Korean media indicated Samsung's HBM4 price was in the mid-to-high range of $4 per Gb. There were also rumors that Nvidia was unwilling to accept this price and therefore delayed negotiations. However, Samsung's statement "at our target price" suggests that Nvidia has seemingly finally accepted Samsung's offer. It now appears that Samsung will sell HBM4 at the highest price among the three major memory chip manufacturers, a point that seems to be confirmed. The analysis suggests that the Rubin series products equipped with Samsung HBM4 will be sold as a separate, high-priced version, with a higher price than versions using SK Hynix or Micron memory chips. In other words, products equipped with Samsung HBM4 will enjoy a premium.
