A Yorkville Ives analyst said Microsoft (MSFT.O) quarterly results indicate the
company has the cloud capacity to absorb strong AI-driven demand. Azure revenue
beat Street estimates and the analyst called cloud the key driver of Microsoft’s
share performance, saying the report shows "capacity is in place and demand is
filling it." Customers are locking future spend, with future committed spend
holding at USD677 bln; the analyst expects the portion of that revenue to be
recognized in the next 12 months to be higher than previously projected.
Microsoft shares rose 2.7% premarket, bucking broader tech weakness.
