The ECB kept policy rates unchanged on Thursday. UK 10-year gilt yields briefly fell to 5.244%, their lowest since Sept. 23. Moneyfarm's CIO said the decision signals the ECB is pausing to assess the impact of September's rate hike before deciding next steps. ECB president LAGARDE has announced she will step down in February next year; the CIO added that, as 2027 nears, the rate outlook and the policy direction of the ECB's incoming leadership will be key investor considerations.
