"Funding conditions have tightened since the Governing Council's last meeting, which could put pressure on inflation and economic growth," said Piotr Matys, senior foreign exchange analyst at Intouch Capital Markets. "This could be a crucial sentence in the ECB's official statement, as some might interpret it as a signal that the threshold for further rate hikes may be higher than the market expects."
