Analyst Mark Schroers said Lagarde, commenting on France and bond yields, noted
long-end yields have risen globally and that high-debt countries must factor
higher rates into planning. She reiterated the ECB has tools to counter
disorderly or irrational market moves. Schroers said the remarks support the
view that the ECB remains some distance from actually intervening in markets.
