KCNA reported on the 30th that a North Korean defense ministry spokesman said
U.S.-South Korea forces have intensified anti-North preparations and
provocations, sharply raising military tensions on the peninsula. He said the
allies mobilized large air assets from the 26th for the large-scale joint air
exercise "Freedom Flag", and the U.S. III Marine Expeditionary Force for the
first time held multi‑domain reconnaissance training in South Korea, publicly
pledging support for South Korea's preemptive "kill-chain" system. The spokesman
called the moves evidence of hostile military intent, blamed alliance expansion
and joint drills for worsening regional security, and said North Korea will
continue to strengthen its deterrent posture, enhance control over the peninsula
and region, and that its options are not limited.
