At midday closing, domestic futures contracts showed mixed results. Apple futures rose over 6%, eggs and asphalt rose over 3%, ethylene glycol (EG) rose nearly 3%, synthetic rubber, caustic soda, and plastics rose over 2%, and urea rose nearly 2%. On the downside, silver futures fell over 6%, tin and platinum futures fell nearly 6%, polysilicon and palladium futures fell over 3%, lithium carbonate futures fell nearly 3%, and coking coal and coke futures fell nearly 2%.
