The National Energy Administration (NEA) said on Oct. 30 Deputy Director Tan Hongjiang told a press briefing NEA will ramp up support for compute-power coordination. NEA will 1) fully implement the ‘strengthen compute with power, promote power with compute’ requirement and the compute-power coordination provisions of the new power system construction 15th Five-Year Plan, coordinating rollout of the new grid and an integrated compute-power network; and 2) treat direct green‑power connections as a key mechanism, further study related policy measures, guide local governments and firms to design and implement green‑power direct-connection schemes for compute facilities, select exemplar projects for replication, and form deployable, scalable models to advance high-quality compute-power coordination.
