Nikkei reports the Japanese government has asked major U.S. AI developers to
expand provision of high-performance AI models for cybersecurity vulnerability
detection. The government plans to deploy the models to scan security flaws in
critical systems and to encourage power, telecom and other
critical-infrastructure and key-sector firms to adopt them. A cybersecurity
policy package due next week will include strengthened cooperation with U.S. AI
developers.
