[State Administration of Foreign Exchange Releases Data on China's Foreign Exchange Market Transactions in September 2026] Statistics from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange show that in September 2026, the total transaction volume of China's foreign exchange market (excluding the foreign currency pair market, the same below) reached RMB 29.42 trillion (equivalent to USD 4.35 trillion). Specifically, the bank-to-customer market saw transactions of RMB 5.36 trillion (equivalent to USD 0.79 trillion), and the interbank market saw transactions of RMB 24.06 trillion (equivalent to USD 3.56 trillion); the spot market saw transactions of RMB 9.84 trillion (equivalent to USD 1.46 trillion), and the derivatives market saw transactions of RMB 19.58 trillion (equivalent to USD 2.89 trillion). From January to September 2026, the cumulative transaction volume of China's foreign exchange market reached RMB 236.88 trillion (equivalent to USD 34.56 trillion).
