German Chancellor MERZ said in a Seoul interview on Oct. 30 that Germany is
coordinating through multiple channels to intensify diplomatic efforts to end
the US-Israel-Iran conflict. He said rising energy prices tied to the
hostilities have cost Europe more than €100bn over the past eight months and, on
economic grounds, the conflict should end quickly. He urged all parties to
pursue a diplomatic resolution.
