Kuwait's foreign ministry strongly condemned an attack on Al Maayeda, an LNG
tanker operated by a Qatari gas-transport company, saying such strikes seriously
threaten maritime navigation and global energy supplies. The ministry urged
compliance with international law to protect freedom of navigation, vessels and
crews, warned the attack could create environmental and economic risks and harm
regional security and stability, and called for a full investigation to identify
and hold those responsible.
