Axios, citing an Israeli and a U.S. source, reported that Trump held a candid
Saturday call with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu about U.S.-Iran talks and
when to rapidly resume combat. The Israeli source said Netanyahu urged Trump to
strike Iran immediately after Tuesday’s midterm elections; Trump favors letting
negotiations continue, a stance that has worried Netanyahu. The Israeli source
called the tone of the call “tough”; the U.S. source described it as “direct.”
The White House and the Israeli prime minister’s office declined to comment.
