A plane carrying nine people crashed in a residential area of Palm Beach County, Florida, Sunday afternoon, local time, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said. The agency said the FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate the crash. The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office said in a statement that the crash occurred near the Military Trail. According to the FAA, the aircraft was a Learjet 60 flying from Austin to the Bahamas. The ADS-B Exchange website shows that the plane descended 27,000 feet in one minute just before flight tracking data was lost. Video footage shows the plane crashing like a cannonball. The crash site is about four miles south of West Palm Beach Airport, which was renamed "President Donald Trump Airport" earlier this year. Trump was in West Palm Beach earlier Sunday, but left the airport on Air Force One more than an hour before the accident.
