John Ternus will host his first earnings call as Apple (AAPL.O) CEO on Monday; he took over from Cook in September. Apple’s first foldable phone, a smart-home hub and touchscreen MacBooks began shipping in the current fiscal first quarter. Cook has warned memory-chip costs are undergoing a "once-in-a-century" surge. Market focus: guidance for the critical holiday quarter; Ternus’s remarks on AI and an upgraded Siri; and rising memory-chip costs. Analysts say memory-cost inflation will shave quarterly profit growth to a six-quarter low. Consensus Jul–Sep (fiscal Q4) estimates: revenue +11% to $113.4bn; net income +6% to $29.04bn; services revenue +10% to $31.56bn, the weakest growth in over three years; iPhone sales +15% to $56.54bn, down from ~22% growth in the prior three months.
