China's People's Armed Police and Vietnam's Mobile Police will hold the joint "Cooperation-2026" counterterrorism exercise in Hanoi in early to mid-November. Drills will focus on bomb search-and-disposal (EOD), ground mobility operations and high-rise building breach tactics. This is the second exercise in the series, aimed at deepening bilateral counterterrorism cooperation and improving joint operational capability.

RUSI deputy research fellow Mohammed Basha said he had not heard Gulf officials or civilians support strikes; most expect a new round of conflict and that Iran’s response would be more intense and likely not to follow previously observed rules of engagement.
