Hunan Yuneng said at an earnings briefing the long-term positive trend for the
lithium-battery sector remains intact and short-term disruptions will not alter
its growth trajectory. The company expects lithium iron phosphate (LFP) demand
to rise around 30% next year. While planned LFP capacity additions are large,
rollout faces two constraints: substantial funding requirements with uncertainty
delivery timelines, and high technical barriers for high-end LFP — few firms can
stably mass-produce premium product. Hunan Yuneng expects high-end LFP to remain
supply-tight in 2027.
