Nov 2, 2026 — Hong Kong’s SFC published its first survey on large institutions’
AI adoption and readiness, based on a Jul–Aug 2026 questionnaire covering 20
large financial groups and 78 Hong Kong affiliated licensed corporations that
accounted for 75% of securities trading in 1H. Findings: 100% of visitors use
AI; 95% expect to accelerate AI deployment within a year; 90% have deployed or
assessed AI for cyber-attack prevention; 55% are using or trialing agentic AI.
The SFC warned that scaling AI responsibly remains a challenge.
