China's first automated production line for hydrogen-sealing materials began
trial operation in Huantai County, Zibo, Shandong. A local new-materials firm
spent three years developing material formulas and production processes to
replace previously imported high-end sealing materials; core products now claim
full domestic substitution. The intelligent line replaces manual batching and
processing, addressing long-standing quality and batch-consistency issues. The
produced sealing gaskets exhibit high rebound and low creep; when fitted in
water electrolyzers their service life can reach up to 10 years.
