The National Radio and Television Administration (NRTA) said key online audiovisual platforms removed more than 11,000 illegal AI-modified videos and handled 30+ offending accounts in October. The NRTA said a January 2026 special remediation achieved results and that, from Feb. 1, AI-modified video governance will continue under a normalized, institutionalized mechanism. The NRTA will supervise major platforms to deepen platform responsibility, strengthen daily screening and prioritise removal of AI-modified content based on the Four Great Classical Novels, historical and revolutionary themes, heroic/model figures, and various cult-style animations.
