Guangdong’s Consumption Expansion Implementation Plan calls for accelerated
development of next‑generation smart‑home terminals and wider application of IoT
sensing, intelligent control and human‑machine interaction across appliances,
furniture and lighting. The plan directs R&D into elderly‑friendly smart homes
and household service robots and promotes high‑end, green and smart whole‑home
product lines. It also aims to boost agricultural consumption by cultivating
geographic‑indication products and a Guangdong‑branded product matrix, promote
adoption of food digital labels, and strengthen market monitoring of staples —
grain, edible oil, meat, eggs, dairy and fruit and vegetables — to safeguard
supply.
