China's foreign ministry said on Nov. 3 that, as this year's host, it decided to
hold the APEC foreign and trade ministers' dual meeting by video after weighing
various factors and to ensure the meeting's effectiveness. The ministry said it
expects the virtual session to yield positive outcomes and to help prepare for
the leaders' informal meeting.
