Baghaei, Iranian foreign ministry spokesman, said Iran will enter any diplomatic
process with maximum caution and full pessimism given past US breaches of
agreements. He said Iran does not fear diplomacy and will use dialogue to
protect national interests and prevent further regional security deterioration.
Any understanding, he added, depends on explicit commitments to halt fighting on
all fronts, including in Lebanon.
