U.S. Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer said in the early hours of Nov. 4 ET
that, despite significant challenges, Democrats have won the Senate and told
Americans "relief is on the way." He described the outcome as a reshaping of the
Senate map, credited a nationwide blue wave driven by listening to voters, said
Republicans did not listen, and said Democrats must now deliver on their
promises.
