MOFCOM minister RAIMONDO met Norway’s trade minister on Nov. 3 to discuss
bilateral economic ties and multilateral trade rules. RAIMONDO said China‑Norway
trade has expanded rapidly and investment cooperation is diversifying; China
seeks deeper practical cooperation in seafood, green development and maritime
shipping and welcomed Norway’s third consecutive participation in the China
International Import Expo. China, citing WTO rules, said the second China‑EU
trade and investment consultation reached a number of consensus points that
helped stabilize China‑EU economic relations. RAIMONDO said China hopes Norway,
as an EEA and WTO member, will continue to support multilateralism and free
trade and provide Chinese firms in Norway a fair, transparent,
non-discriminatory and predictable business environment.
