have averaged roughly 50k payroll gains. She notes Brent briefly approached
$118/bbl in October while long-term Treasury yields eased below 5%; these
dynamics are unlikely to be fully reflected in the report and their impact on
hiring may surface in November–December. Higher energy costs may outweigh any
improvement from lower borrowing costs.
